Boys Beginning of Fall 2013

Today LJ was announced at his school Chapel because his birthday is this month...he was SO excited that his favorite music teacher Mrs. Lloyd was going to sing him a special birthday prayer song and that Mommy and Bubba would be there to see it.  Sure enough, when he walked in and saw us, he nudged all of his friends and said "Look my Mom and brother are here!!!" and he waved and smiled a big as he could.  So sweet.  He was so proud and precious and enjoyed every second in the spotlight.

During the service, his crazy brother was a little hard to handle as usual :).  He wanted to go on stage with Bubba, play the drums, and take every my cell phone and throw it.  Yikes!  Thankfully, after chapel we got to take him to his first gymnastics class of the fall and he got some of that almost two year old energy out!  He had a blast and loved swinging on the bar and doing flips over the big medicine ball the most.  We love Miss Becky's Mommy and Me class.  So thankful Nolan gets to start right where LJ did with the same wonderful teacher who has such an awesome heart and loves our boys so much. Nolan also got his first big boy airplane chair professional haircut while Bubba was in school.  Photos to follow.  He was so sweet but not as excited as LJ was his first time.  A little nervous but thankful Thomas the Train movie was on to keep his mind off of the cutting of his curls:)!  When we stopped in HEB afterwords, he saw lots of his friends and showed them all his haircut and lollipop he got for being so good:)!!!

When LJ finally got home from school we were sharing a fun snack and talking about his day.  I asked him if he liked Chapel and seeing Mommy and Bubba.  He thought about it and said with a grin "YES Mommy I loved it and I was thinking about how beautiful you are ALL DAY!"  No joke.  Those exact words.  I will never ever forget it.  Here I am in the thick of morning sickness, caring for his crazy toddler brother, feeling overwhelmed and exhausted most days, and not feeling "beautiful" in any sense of the word.  Sweet precious boy knew just how to cheer his Mama up.  He has been listening to his Daddy say that every night when he comes home.  I am so blessed to have such a sweet first son.  He is truly an angel and I have no idea what we'd do without him!
