Nolan is 7 months old - and other fun April memories with the boys

How is it that our little guy Nolan is 7 months old tomorrow?!  He is growing up SO fast and continues to amaze us daily with his sweet snugly happy go lucky personality.  He is the BEST!  Here are some things we don't want to forget about how wonderful Nolan is at the 7 month old mark:
~He wakes up in the morning with coos and smiles and waits for us to turn on his zoo animals mobile...and for his crazy funny big bro to rush in and talk to him over the crib - usually says something like this ; 'good mornin nowan, how'd you sweep?  i wuv you nowan.  it's ok bwother.'  Hahaha sooo cute.
~LOVES his big bro - always smiles at him, they talk in their own language (goo, ahhh, ma, da, etc:)
~New fav activity: riding in his stroller facing out so he can see the world (and all of LJ's activities:) and favorite of all his jumper in the doorway with the musical mat...really enjoys when Landon 'helps' bounce him and swing him (Mom or Dad have to be right on top of this activity or it could be disastrous:)
~Still loves riding with Mama in his pack - usually only during nap time or on hikes now because he is getting heavy!
~Had his first allergic reaction to something (thinking maybe sunscreen - and we have only used the baby aveeno gentle stuff so maybe even something in MY sunscreen that rubbed off on him from my arm when I was nursing him) and he had hives so we rushed him to the doctor and they gave him Zyrtec and he is totally fine...and completely happy though the whole process :) sweetest baby ever!
~He gets so excited to hear Dada and almost always goes right to sleep with Dada's help and loves to snuggle him.  So sweet.  Daddy's boy.
~Really enjoys meeting new people and 'flirting' with all of the ladies in Mama's bible study and at my church meetings for MOPS.  Even stayed with Miss Jonie from church at the country club while I had a meeting last week and was happy the whole time...even during nap time!  Thankful he is such a laid back little boy.
~Rolls forward and backward and can get across a room, almost sitting up but not quite by himself yet, showing signs he will crawl soon, looks for mama and daddy in a room and smiles when he finds us, etc
~Favorite foods: Mama's milk :), organic and finely pureed-sweet potatoes, sweet peas, bananas, peaches, plums, apples with brown rice cereal, green beans, carrots, etc. - Landon fed him his first ever sweet potatoes and even helped me make them in his baby food processor and has a blast.
~Messy eater - loves to take the spoon from Mama or LJ and 'do it himself' usually resulting in a huge mess and a baby covered in food - but he is always happy :)
~Schedule - He does NOT really have one - gasp- since LJ was on such a strict routine, we have backed off this time and let Nolan do what is best for him (sometimes planning around his big bro's activities) but a typical is is something like this : up between 6:30 and 8, nurses, plays for a bit, back to bed, up around 9 or 9:30, nurses, plays, eats an organic fruit mixed with brown rice cereal, plays, goes on some adventures with big brother and mommy like a play date, run in stroller, children's museum, landa park, etc, quick nap in his pack or car seat, home for nursing and lunch (an organic fruit mixed with a veggie), plays a bit and has some time with Mommy while LJ naps (usually working on developmental things and reading fun board books), nap around 1, up around 3 or 3:30 (but sometimes wakes up and insists on going to nap with Mommy:), nurses again, plays with big bro when he is up (around 4) and helps with his snack, off to another fun activity with big bro and mommy (usually some sort of grocery shopping or a play date - and he recently had first big playdate with buddy Carson Griffin - brother of Kait, LJ's sweet friend - pics will be posted above), home by 5, nap (sometimes:), nurses at 6, dinner at 6:30 - organic veggie and brown rice cereal, plays with Daddy, bath, bed by 7 or 8.  Well, I guess he IS on a schedule after all...but we are very flexible this time around...can't imagine how laid back we will be with his little bro or sister. :)

Overall, the past seven months have completely flown by.  Nolan has captured our hearts with his joyful laugh, smiley personality, and sweet snugly nature.  We love him more than we ever thought possible!  Pics to come of the past couple of months including his first real food, first time in the pool and at Schlitterbahn, first Easter, etc.  Enjoy!  We have had the most incredible experience raising sweet Nolan and are so thankful he is a healthy seven month old.

Landon and Bella at 2.5 b day lunch, Landon's 2.5 birthday Chocolate Cheerios treat :)

Landon and Bella are 2 1/2 today!

This morning Landon woke up promptly at seven (he is and has always been our alarm) and said "Mama I am TWO AND A HALF today! Yay!!!!" Our little guy is growing up way too fast. He continually amazes us with his sweet heart, loving disposition, kind nature, wonderful hugs, silly sayings and smiles, and more. He still has an ear for music like we cannot even believe. He can keep the beat of any song he hears (or even nosies) and he is fascinated by all types of music. He especially loves going to Gruene Hall and dancing to the live music there and singing to Mama's radio in the car. He is very fast and loves to go on walks with us and run all around the house and the park with his friends. He is more social than either of us (hard to believe:) and has tons of sweet friends through church, kindermoms, and just random kids he meets when we are out and about. He waves at strangers constantly and says "Hi friend how are you?!" Today we went out to lunch with Karly and Bella for their birthdays. Landon stopped in the middle of lunch and ran up to give me a huge hug. He said "I am Mama's boy" and proceeded to 'fix my hair' and give me a thousand kisses. I cherish every second with my little boy! He has also gotten much more involved with Nolan...he loves to hold him (held him ALL by himself this week and did great:) and always looks out for his brother by giving him the paci, holding his hand and 'praying' with him in the car on long trips, and just always wanting to be close to him and snuggle him. It is the best. He is such an awesome big bro. He is getting close to being potty trained (still a ways to go but very interested in it and making huge strides). His favorite thing is going to church and he memorizes the bible verses he learns during my bible study and Sunday school classes during the week. It is so cute to hear him recite them randomly and apply them to everyday situations. He is such a joy. Another really special thing about Landon at two and a half is how much he cherishes time with his Daddy. Since James has been working super hard (long hours) Landon is sooo excited when Dad can hang out with him so he really makes sure to make it special. I love seeing those guys playing guitar and practicing baseball on his little tikes t-ball stand (he hits the ball and runs the imaginary bases and at the end says home wunnnn and Daddy throws him up in the air to celebrate:). We cannot even believe Landon is already 2 1/2 and are so excited to continue to watch him grow and help him thrive. Photos of the past month to come!

With God All Things are Possible :o)

Tonight Landon asked us to have a blueberry bagel for dinner and we told him he had to eat the nutritious dinner Mommy made instead. He replied with a smile, "Mama with God ALL things are possible bagel pweeessseeee!" Thrilled our little man knows so much of God's awesome Word but a little concerned with his application! ;o)
