Boys at end of summer 2013
The boys are growing and learning by leaps and bounds. They are actually communicating now that Nolan can talk and it is SO sweet to be a part of. They talk about Daddy and swinging, the birds and ducks, what kind of snack sounds good, violin, loving Mommy, tennis, swim, and our precious golden retriever Samson who they both adore. Every time I cough or am not feeling good with the pregnancy, Nolan runs up to me and puts his hand on my tummy and looks up at me with his huge blue eyes and says "you ok Mommy?" He learned to be so caring from his big brother who is always making sure Mommy is ok. It is so sweet. Landon is swimming all by himself and Nolan tries with all his might to keep up kicking as hard as he can in his puddle jumper. He wants to do everything Bubba does. He is now jumping almost as high at LJ on the little trampoline we have and is SO proud of himself. He is finally sitting through books (at Nolan's age, Landon would sit and read with me for hours and Nolan just doesn't share the attention span of his big bro but we are working on it:), finally sweet Nolan will go to the YMCA childcare (some days) without missing me too much so I can get a body pump class in, he loves his precious girlfriends Syd and MK who he hangs out with ALL the time, and he loves Samson who he has called "Bam" since he was a baby. Landon had his meet the teacher at school today and he is THRILLED with his now teacher who he knows well and adores. The kids in his class are amazing and we are so thankful he is at such a wonderful school where he thrives and learns about our awesome God at the same time. So thankful. Today he came running in our room during nap time dressed in full on firefighter gear saying "Mommy I didn't nap long but it's ok I am fighting fires! And my firefighter coat is hard to get on because my belly is so big since God is in my heart!" Too cute. Parenting too energetic little boys with another baby on the way is always challenging but moments like that and moments when Nolan asks "You OK Mommy?" put it all into perspective. God has given us such gifts in these boys and the new baby. We just pray we can continue to honor Him with all we do in parenting them so they show His love and grace to everyone they meet and honor Him in all they do.
