July 2013

This summer has been such a blast.  Beach trip, trip to Houston to see NASA and our wonderful cousins who the boys had a ball with (see previous post for pics), and most recently at trip to Colorado to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and hang out with Nana and Popsie and also spend some time with Gaga and Jetta!  We are so thankful that Nana and Popsie gave us the best anniversary gift ever by flying us there and hosting us for a whole week.  They were so gracious and sweet to us and our boys.  Even though their house may never look the same again (thanks to an almost two and almost four year old:) they loved on us and allowed us to have so many memories we will never forget.  The Colorado Rockies game on the 4th complete with an awesome fireworks show, many walks to their fun country club to play tennis, golf, and swim, dates for me and James, a trip out to Gaga and Jettas for a delicious dinner and fun projects for the boys, and so much more.  We could not have had a better trip and we have never been so thankful for a vacation that was MUCH needed after James' hectic work schedule and a busy summer.  Such a blessing.

God has shown up HUGE in our lives in the past couple of months.  We were weary from the miscarriage and the demands of James' law firm and the boys being at the ages where I need to be very hands on ALL the time (even though they are such an incredible blessing and we love them to pieces:) and we were just feeling kind of blah.  But with much prayer and many awesome friends and family who surrounded us with their meals, hugs, love, prayers, etc we began to realize that we ARE living our dream, God IS going to take care of us, and He CAN give us joy even during times when we are feeling hopeless.  He is so awesome.  And we are so thankful to have a community of believers who pray with and love on us daily and give us chances and opportunities to serve others too!  God has given us the following to really reflect on:

"Summing it up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling and gracious - the best, not the worst, the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse." Philippians 4:8 (The Message).

We have many more exciting things to share but will wait till next month! :o) Above are all of our July photos - enjoy!!!
