Today we did a photo shoot for Gaga's 60th birthday present and this was the winning photo. She always sang You are my Sunshine to me as a baby and now to the boys so this is the perfect gift for her! Man it is challenging to get these guys looking (remotely) the same direction! Nolan kept running to me saying "Mama love!" after each shot. Precious. Cute moments from the past few weeks:
~Went to the grocery store right before dinner...bad idea. :o) LJ was kind of a mess and was hungry so kept putting random items in the cart (he walks now and helps me push the cart and pick out stuff and Nolan rides in the seat). We were ALMOST to the checkout and after putting everything back that he insisted on getting (we usually stick to whole grains, organic fruits and veggies, and the occasional treat), LJ insisted on getting a big bag of marshmallows which is usually a huge NO but I let him just this once because otherwise I was not sure if we'd make it out of the store without a meltdown. :o) All the while, Nolan is pulling Landon's hair, fussy, and trying to climb out of the cart. As we are loading the groceries on the belt, I turned around for a split second to help Landon load the heavy milk and hear a loud crash. Nolan has turned around in the cart (with his seatbelt on) to try to get something out of the basket and fallen head first. I freak out and get him out as fast as I can with the help of a sweet man in front of me. Landon is next to us devastated thinking his best buddy and little bro is really hurt. Then he exclaims with a huge grin "Mama the marshmallows saved Nowan's LIFE! He landed right smack on top of em!!!" Needless to say, Nolan was a little sore but the marshmallows really did save him because they cushioned his precious face from many pointy and sharp objects that could have really injured him...and sweet LJ got to eat marshmallows on the way home from the store! :o)
~LJ is getting better and better at his violin classes and learning all of the songs and rhythms are preparing him to be an awesome musician someday. He loves it and even can play some short songs on the piano and guitar with Daddy. Nolan loves to "help" and they often are "a band" with a music set Mom got them for Christmas. Precious moments. Love them. Also, LJ rocked at his first T Ball training during a sports class this week. He loves it and did a great job. Nolan and I cheered him on from the sidelines and Nolan was dying to join in...and gets to next year when he's two woohoo!!!
