Cohn Happenings / CAST YOUR VOTE! =-)

Hey everyone! We have had quite a busy month or so. You can see in the picture I finally have a little bump! Yay baby! Now in the second trimester, we are thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO VOTE FOR WHAT YOU THINK THE SEX OF OUR BABY IS (SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF THE BLOG TO CAST YOUR VOTE)! WE FIND OUT IN APRIL AND WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OUR LITTLE ANGEL IS!!! =-)

We had an awesome trip to Louisiana last week. Stayed with our Aunt Jill at her bed and breakfast, The Chimes, in Baton Rouge...check out: http://www.chimesneworleans.com/. It is the most amazingly beautiful and peaceful place and Aunt Jill and Charles are gourmet cooks so perfect timing to eat all of that yummy food. We got to run around a gorgeous swan lake by Tulane every morning, see the New Orleans sights, and eat at Charles' incredible restaurant Arnaud's (http://www.arnauds.com/) in the heart of the French Quarter. The 6 course brunch was a pregnant lady's dream. =-) We also got to see our cousin Zander who is pictured with Aunt Jill here. He is awesome and a freshman at the College of Charleston in SC! Our travels around the city are all on www.thecohnfamily.shutterfly.com. Jill's stories about Katrina and how they stayed through the storm and toughed it out were incredible. We went to the 9th ward and saw where Brad Pitt's homes are being built but also where many places have still not be restored...it was a sad and eye opening day. The people of New Orleans were incredible; the culture is unparalleled to any place in the world I've been.

On our second day in Louisiana we ventured to Baton Rouge for James' interviews with Taylor Porter and Kean Miller there as well as a couple of other firms. I got to see the the house he was brought home to as a baby in the cutest little neighborhood, his Dad's clothing store Cohn Turner, the country club where he learned how to beat me at tennis, and of course the beautiful LSU campus. I hung out at the Capital downtown and on the river while he was interviewing and met some of the most friendly and sweet people in the world. I LOVE Baton Rouge, the romantic southern charm of the city, and the values of the firms James was blessed to get interviews with. He already got an offer from Taylor Porter and is waiting on the rest to come in. He had a great time in the interviews and we think he would be a wonderful fit in any of the firms there. We are also waiting on a few other potential offers to come in that are here and other locations (thank God for opening up doors so we finally have a few options). We are just praying that the Lord leads us where He needs us to be for the summer and for a full time job as an attorney when James graduates in May of 2010. We know He has been so faithful in providing for our family in awesome ways and that His plans are so much better than anything we could ever dream up. Please pray for peace for us and that God will show us clearly where He wants us to go and where will be best to raise our children.

Thanks for keeping up with our crazy life through this blog. Hope everyone has a great week and we love you all very much!

Anna, James, and Baby Cohn
