Caleb's First Month

The first month with precious Caleb flew by!  He has grown so quickly; from day one he was already super strong with great head and neck control which has only gotten stronger since he's already trying to keep tabs on his big brothers! :o) We prepared for this third child to be super challenging and exhausting...but it really hasn't been too tough at all.  Thanks to God's amazing grace and Caleb's sweet peaceful and loving personality, we are adjusting so well to being a family of five.  Caleb is an angel ~ he only cries when tired or hungry and is easily soothes with a paci or snuggling and nursing with Mama.  He adores time with his big brothers ~ Landon has been so sweet with him ~ takes his job in the car very seriously and always makes sure to keep his baby nor covered with a blanket so his toes don't get cold and if he ever starts to fuss gives him the paci and does the "Shh Shh Shh" method we use to calm him and he falls right to sleep.  He is such a proud helper and an awesome big brother.  Nolan LOVES Caleb so much.  He sings him the go to sleep song by saying "go to sweep Mama's pwecious angel Caweb" and always calls him "angel" or his favorite nickname both boys have called him since birth - "Chubby Cheeks".  :o) Landon proudly brought him to school after Spring Break (the week he was born) and showed him off to his classmates by saying "This is my new little brother Caleb!  He's SO CUTE!  We call him Chubby Cheeks.  I love him SOOO much!  Look how cute he is!!!" It was priceless.  I was in tears.  So neat to see how excited he is to have another brother to play with and love on.  Nolan has had a tough time expressing his love for Caleb which sometimes shows up in the form of aggression and we are working on that very hard.  He is two and has a very sweet heart but is very active (like he never stops moving until he passes out at nap and bed time:) and most of the time can be super sweet and loving to Caleb but that can change very quickly so we don't leave him alone with him EVER to protect the sweet little man and to be safe.  Caleb has TONS of visitors and meals brought to us by sweet church school and playgroup friends for over three weeks.  It was SUCH a high blessing!!!!!!!  By the end of the day with all three boys, I am SO thankful for my time with them and the memories we've made but SO ready for Daddy to walk in the door and the meals truly helped us stay sane and get rest during the first month.  We are so blessed to have the most incredible body of church friends who are like family and helped us acclimate to three kids and get settled in the new house etc.  So very thankful for our wonderful community.  More photos of Caleb at one month to come!  Can't believe how much he's grown already and that our first "baby" will start pre K in the Fall.  Time is flying by and God has blessed our family beyond belief!!!  My cup overflows.
