The New Year has been such a blessing to our family.  The boys had the best Christmas ever with Gaga Jeda and Aunt C's visit and lots of meaningful activities to remind them of the true meaning of Christmas ~ Jesus!  He is so awesome and it is amazing to see our boys excited to know and love Him.

Nana and Popsie visited for New Years and we had a super fun Noon Years Eve Party for LJ Nolan and their friends and their parents who are some of our best friends.  It was a blast!  Landon and Nolan are still really enjoying their gymnastics classes together and they LOVE the Spanish class they get to attend weekly and are learning so much.

We are so excited this is the year we will meet sweet baby Caleb (only a couple of months away) and that God has blessed our family with a great investment in our new to us forever home.  The timing will be tight as we do lots of remodels before Caleb is here but it is SO worth it knowing we will probably (if it's God's plan:) stay in our home forever!!!  The boys are pumped to have their own two playrooms and Daddy is excited to have his own nice big home office.  I am excited about the big greenhouse out back that we are converting into a home gym and the Boy's Art Studio and also thankful for the space for our growing family and the ability to do all of the small renovations that need to be done ourselves so we are creating so much equity in our home and feeling like we can make it our own!!!  It needs some work but has so much fun character and is in the perfect area of town which was so important for us!!  The backyard has a large pond which we are going to drain before moving in (I am scared to death of the kids drowning) and we are replacing the water with gravel so the kids can dig and play with their dump trucks etc in it!  There are eight raised gardens so must of them will be torn out and replaced with grass and our playscape but Landon and I are saving a couple for our garden we have been waiting to plant for SO long!!!

God has taught us so much about patience and reliance on Him during the wait to purchase our second home.  The selling of ours in North Carolina from law school was such a heartache and we were timid to buy another home and wanted to be SURE we were in the best area and that we were staying here forever before buying again.  The rent house we were in was fine and we appreciated having a safe roof over our heads etc but I have been DYING to be settled and feel like I can plant gardens and make the environment perfect for the boys to learn play and grow. We are so thankful to the family and friends who are making this possible for us and are excited but a little apprehensive as we move a month before Caleb will arrive! :o)
