James is FINALLY done studying forever! :o) He feels very confident about his bar exam and we so appreciated our wonderful cousin Tim and his wife Sarah for letting him stay there for the three days he was taking the test in Austin. With the dogs and baby at home, he got some much needed peace and quiet there and because of it did an amazing job on the test. They even called to ask what he wanted from thr store and took great care of him, made him feel at home, etc. We love you guys, Tim and Sarah and can't wait to hang out more now that this test is over!
It was such a grueling summer of studying and working part time plus getting settled in our new town but finally we got to get away to a beautiful resort and celebrate all of James' hard work and dedication for a whole weekend! It was paradise! Landon especially loved it; the place was super kid friendly and he met lots of babies his age and a little older. He got to swim in the multiple pools and beach areas and find turtle figurines in the sand. He loved the waterfalls and the big bed he could watch TV on (only allowed on vacation except for the educational sign language DVD's at home:) and Mommy and Daddy loved the fact that our monitor reached all the way down to the bar/cabana and pool/hot tub area so we enjoyed movie night by the pool with yummy drinks and desserts while Landon slept at night. It was awesome! We also got to play golf with Landon in the stroller...he thought it was the best! There were all of these cool tropical birds throughout the course and lots of waterfalls and fun things for him to see. We will be back soon for sure and can't wait until our kids get older so they can play tennis and ride bikes around the resort, etc. Thanks a million to Nana and Popsie Cohn who gave us the gift of this incredible weekend to relax and enjoy. It was the best! :o) Photos of our adventures are above!
Thanks to all of our friends and family who have been so understanding and helpful during the journey through law school and this exam. We are so blessed to have such great support and love from you all. James began job as an attorney this morning and I could not be more proud of him. I of course cried when he left for work. We have made so many sacrifices to get him to where he is professionally and he is with the best firm right here in town and is going to do great things to help people in our community. I am so proud of James and can't wait to finally have evenings and weekends to do family stuff!!!!!!!
