We are so amazed that our sweet son is 14 months old. Time has flown by! Landon is so active and growing/developing by leaps and bounds. He is ALMOST walking...will take 20 or so steps by himself then crash down and look for Mama. :) Our new favorite activities are going to the awesome Children's Museum (thanks to Nana who got us a year pass:) and going to the park to play with his little friends. We also go on lots of wagon rides, still enjoy story time at the library, and have playgroup with his best friends every Wednesday which we always look forward to.
James ACED the bar exam...whew!!!!!!! No more tests EVER for us...what a relief. :) Thanks to Grandnana who gave us a night out to celebrate. We went to Liberty Bistro and then to our favorite little coffee shop in Gruene where we had a very quiet and romantic evening with no baby! Yeah!!!!!!! Grandnana stayed at our place while Landon slept and spoiled Samson and Daisy. She is the best! I have also been learning to sew with her...our current project is a purse for me and it is so cute! Can't wait until we finish it and I can post a pic. Next up is Landon's adorable Christmas stocking. It is a little boy with a drum and a puppy (perfect for Landon since he LOVES the drum Gaga got him and he loves his dogs)! It will be monogrammed and so cute.
Nana came to visit us for a few days during her fall break. It was SO much fun! She was able to hang out with Landon and he loved being with his grandma. We did so many fun things and we just had a wonderful time during her visit! Pictures above.
I recently joined the Board of Directors on the United Way here in town. SO excited to be able to make a difference through this awesome organization and that James works so hard so I can stay home with Landon and have the opportunity to be volunteering with the United Way. I will write their newsletter, do lots of marketing and PR, and really just be available to help people in the community in any way I can. God is so awesome to give me a gift I can share to help others!
Now that we know for sure we are staying in New Braunfels forever, we are looking at where we want to live starting in June. We leased for a long time to make sure we knew the area, etc. It has been hard to find a good spot for a 10 or 20 year home for our family. I am very picky and have lots of requirements! We are currently thinking Oak Run, a neat community with a playground and pool, lots of kids, in a great school district, beautiful homes and you can get all bedrooms on one story (very important since we will have lots of kids), great location right by the pools, parks, downtown, the new wonderful HEB, etc. Can't WAIT for June...this rental is new and nice and super cute in a great location but it's getting smaller everyday as we think about another baby and Landon's toys are increasing and he's so active! :~)
Landon was a monkey jumping on the bed with his best Chase for Halloween. They were SO cute. Photos above; we had a ball taking them trick-or-treating in the wagon. We are preparing for the holidays which is very exciting. Lots of traveling and family fun. Can't wait to update with pictures of Landon in his Christmas card outfit and T'giving attire. He will be so cute and he'll love this year since he can really do more and enjoy the celebrations!
